3 Elements of the Program.
I initiate
We will see later like to realize the principal tasks in the construction
of a table with our program.
How does one work with the Alignment of the Text?
- There exists a bar of buttons that facilitates the alignment of the text.

On having done click with the mouse, on the first three buttons of this bar of
buttons, it is allowed to us align the text of the column of the table in the
one that is the selected cell, well to the left side, well centred, and well
to the right, respectively.
If simultaneously to the click of the mouse we have pressed the key CTRL,
we will achieve that the corresponding alignment is applied only to the
cell selected in this moment.
- In the menu of the program, we can realize the same operations, both
for column and for cells.

- In the hanging menu, also there exist two options that allow us to
align the text.

In this case, the first one it(he,she) is changing consecutivly the alignment of the
column the one that is the cell selected, that is to say on having pulsated F8
(a key abridged to manage to realize this option of the hanging menu)
consecutivly we are going to change the alignment according to the following cycle:
Left side -> Centred -> Right -> Left side...
How To insert or To erase(smear) the rows and columns of a table?
- The following bar of buttons facilitates the insertion to us or erased(smeared) of the
rows and columns of a table

The first and second button they allow us to insert a row, before or later
respectively, of the row in the one that is the selected cell. The
third and fourth button they allow us to insert a column, before or later
respectively, of the column in the one that is the selected cell.
The fifth and sixth button they allow us to erase(smear), the row or the column
respectively, in that one finds the selected cell.
- In the menu of the program, we can realize the same operations, so
much of insertion as(like) of erased(smeared).

- In the hanging menu, in the submenú INSERT and DELETE, also
the same options of alignment exist and erased(smeared).

How does one work with the Lines or Edges?
- The following bar of buttons they allow us to add or to eliminate a
horizontal line to the row or vertical line to the column in the one that is the
selected cell, or when we keep touched the key CTRL that adds
or eliminates the edge of the selected cell.

The first button refers to the top edge, the second button to the
low edge, the third button to the left edge, the fourth button to the
straight edge, and the fifth button adds all the edges or eliminates all the edges
of the selected cell.
- In the menu of the program, also the same possibilities exist.

- In the hanging menu, also there exist four options that allow us
to add edges to the table.

In this case, with F9 manage to add a vertical line to the right of the
column in the one that is the selected cell or to eliminate this
vertical line. With F10 manage to add a horizontal line lower than the row
in the one that is the selected cell or to eliminate this
horizontal line.
With CTRL+F9 manage to add or to eliminate the straight edge of the
selected cell, and with CTRL+F10 manage to add or to eliminate the low edge
of the selected cell.
How does one work with the colors?
- The following bar of buttons allows us to work with the colors that
we will use in the table.

When we write the text of the cells of the table, the first button of this
bar of buttons is highlighted (since(as,like) it(he,she) appears in this figure).
But for colorear the bottom(fund) of the cells of the table, we will have
to activate the second button. Once touched this button, the cursor will happen(pass)
to have the form of a hand
,
and on having pulsated on a this(this one) cell will happen(pass) to
have the color of bottom(fund) that appears in the bar of buttons in fourth position.
To change this color, only we have to do click with the mouse on him(it)
(white square, in this case), and us a picture of dialogue will appear where
we will be able to select the color wished for the bottom(fund) of cell.

The bar of buttons would happen(pass) to have now the following aspect:

To give color to the text (or letters) of the table, we will have to activate the
third button. Once touched this button, the cursor happens(passes) to have the form of
a felt-tip pen
, and on having pulsated on a this(this one) cell it(he,she) will happen(pass) to have
the text with the
color that appears in the bar of buttons in fifth position. To
change this color, only we have to do click with the mouse on him(it) (black square,
in this case), and us a picture of dialogue will appear, like the
previous one, where we will be able to select the color wished for the text.
The bar of buttons would happen(pass) to have now the following aspect:

Also we have the possibility of colorear the bottom(fund) or the text of the whole
column or of the whole row. For it we will have to puncture or in the
row head-board (row 0) or in the column head-board (column 0) on one of
his(her, your) cells, which would indicate that column or row would be the colored one,
respectively.

The sixth button allows us to copy the color of bottom(fund) of the cell selected to the
color of bottom(fund) for fault, and the seventh button allows us to copy the
color of text of the cell selected to the color of text for fault.
How do several
cells join (multicolumn)?
- The following bar of buttons allows us to be employed with the union
/ disunity of cells (multicolumn) at a table.

The first button allows us to join several cells of the same row (multicolumn).
On having pulsated on this button he(she) asks us how many cells we want to join from
the selected cell and later it(he,she) will join them.
With the second button we undo the union of the cells in which
we are. If we touch the key CTRL simultaneously with this button,
it(he,she) eliminates all the cells joined in the table.
How
are the broad ones of the columns modified or fix?
- The broad ones of column can be modified by help of the mouse, on
having displeased the column divider adequately, since we can estimate in
this sequence of images
In the first image of the sequence it(he,she) is estimated since(as,like) the form of the
cursor changes on having approached the column divider. To obtain a
wished fixed width, we do click with the mouse in the moment that this
form adopts the cursor, and keep it touched dragging up to obtaining the
width of wished column.
In the second image of the sequence it(he,she) appreciates the width that we have given to the
second column. This operation has established a fixed width for this
column, and the exits Latex will be with a type of column: p {anchofijo}
(for example: p {3cm}).
In the third image of the sequence, indicated with a red square,
TABLES it(he,she) indicates with this highlighted button that it is a question of a column with
fixed width.
If we want that this column stops having a fixed width, we do click
on the highlighted button.
If this button is not highlighted and we do click on him(it),
achieve that the width of the column in which we are become
fixed.
- The buttons quarter(room) of the following bar of buttons

We have seen that has functions in the previous paragraphs.
The fifth button allows us to copy broad from other columns to the
column of the cell in which we are.
How to work with the
selection of cells?
- To work with the selection of cells we have to activate the above mentioned option
in the following bar of buttons

In the highlighted button
.
On
having done click on him(it) a bar of buttons will appear with
specific operations to be employed with the selection of cells at the left part of
the application

The first button allows us to initiate the selection (also pulsating F3
we obtain the same function) and if we return to pulsate on him(it) it(he,she) finishes the
operation of selection, obtaining this way a rectangle of selected cells.

In this example, we see since(as,like) the rectangle turns out to be selected, in that the
cell (1,1) is the top left corner (the first time that we touch F3) and
the cell (3,2) is the low straight corner (the second time that we touch F3).
If we touch the second button we undo the selection of the rectangle (or
we pulsate Ctrl+F3).
With the following buttons we can realize particular operations with the
selected rectangle:
- The third button allows us to copy the content of the rectangle
selected in another rectangle which dimensions are the same but his(her, your)
top left corner is that of the cell in which we are (in the
graphical example, it might be the cell (5,5)).
- The fourth button allows us to copy the content of the rectangle
selected in another rectangle which dimensions are those of the rectangle or
counterfoil traspuesta, but his(her, your) top left corner is that of the cell in which
we are (in the graphical example, it might be the cell (5,5)).
- The fifth button allows us to erase(smear) the content of the
selected rectangle.
With one selected rectangle, the operations of
- To complete the complete edge
- Any of the edges touching simultaneously the key CTRL
- Color of bottom(fund)
- Color of letter
They would be realized on the selected rectangle and not on the cell in which
we are.
