Título: Taming Variability in Industrial Software Systems
Ponente: Prof. Sandra Greiner (SDU, Denmark)
Resumen: Modern software systems, from cyber-physical production plants to executable modeling languages, are highly configurable, and their variability is often scattered, implicit and poorly documented. In this talk, I discuss how variability can be managed systematically as such systems evolve: recovering feature traces, handling control-software variability in industrial automation, and assessing where generative AI can (and cannot yet) help maintain and modernize legacy configurable software.
Sandra Greiner is Associate Professor in the Section for AI, Cybersecurity and Programming Languages (ACP) at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU). Her research focuses on software product line engineering, model-driven engineering and the maintenance and evolution of highly configurable systems. She received the SPLC 2024 Best Paper Award, was Research Track Chair of SPLC 2025, and is Software Vice-Coordinator of the EU COST Action ROAR-NET.
